Pricing
A subscription for the workspace, governed introductions, and a structured way to participate in the engagements that follow.
The subscription provides the workspace and the controls. Engagement governance participation reflects the introductions, continuity tooling and engagement record that surround a confirmed engagement. There is no percentage of fee and no deduction from operator pay. The governance behind these terms is set out on the Trust & governance page.
How Operance works
A governed sequence, not a marketplace.
Operance is institutional engagement infrastructure. Governance, chronology and controlled contact exist because senior construction and development engagements warrant them — not as friction, but as the record itself.
- 01
Engagement requirement
A business defines a structured requirement — sector, discipline, value band, region and engagement type. The requirement is the institutional record against which every subsequent step is governed.
- 02
Governed introduction
Businesses request a specific introduction against a defined requirement. An introduction credit is reserved on request and refunded on decline, timeout or expiry. Volume is deliberately constrained.
- 03
NDA and identity release
Where confidentiality is required, both parties acknowledge the NDA before contact is released. Identity exchange is sequenced, not broadcast.
- 04
Messaging
Conversation opens in-platform against the engagement record. Contact details are not exchanged openly; the chronology remains auditable.
- 05
Proposal
Terms are formalised in a structured proposal — scope, duration, fee model, start window. The proposal is versioned and bound to the engagement record.
- 06
Engagement confirmation
When the engagement is confirmed, the business declares it on the platform. Operance participates on fixed, banded terms — never as a percentage of operator pay. A twelve-month protected period applies.

When introductions become engagements
Engagement Activation Fee
When both parties formally activate an engagement through Operance, a single, fixed Engagement Activation Fee becomes payable by the business. The fee supports the governed activation record, the protected introduction chronology, and the engagement infrastructure that sits around the relationship. Operators are paid in full by the business directly — Operance is not a paymaster, intermediary or party to the engagement contract.
Engagement Activation Fee
£3,500 fixed
Payable only when both parties formally activate an engagement through Operance. The fee is independent of engagement value, day rate, fee model or duration. It is not a recruitment fee, placement fee, success fee or percentage commission — it is the charge for the governed engagement record and the institutional infrastructure that supports it.
Protected introduction period
An engagement formed within twelve months of an Operance introduction is in scope of the activation framework, regardless of where the contract is signed or which group entity engages the operator. Set out in full in the Terms of Service.
Engagement record continuity
Activation opens the governed engagement record: chronology, NDA history, proposal versions and audit log, retained as a single institutional record available to both parties for the life of the relationship.

Operators are paid directly by the business on the terms agreed between them. Operance does not deduct from operator fees, does not sit on the cash flow, and does not act as paymaster, employer of record or intermediary. Verified Participation is a monthly subscription supporting the engagement infrastructure — not a placement, commission or success-fee arrangement.
Pricing built around the engagement record, not the engagement fee.
